Cookie policy

This page explains which cookies and which local storage L2SANCTUM uses, what they are for and how long they last. In short: we only use what is technically necessary for the site to work and to remember the choices you make. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, our own or anyone else's.

What they are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage (localStorage) is a similar mechanism: it keeps data on your device but never sends it to the server. The law treats both the same way, so this page covers both.

Cookies we use

"PHPSESSID" (our own, session). It is only created on pages that show a form — support and, when enabled, article comments — and it protects those forms against fraudulent submissions (CSRF). It expires when you close your browser. It is a technical cookie, strictly necessary for the service you request by using the form. Nowhere else on the site is a cookie created.

Local storage we use

"l2s_launch_banner" remembers whether you opened or closed the "Beta coming soon" notice, so it is not shown to you again. "l2s_cookie_notice" remembers that you have already seen this cookie notice. Both are only saved when you make that choice, stay in your browser until you clear the site's data and are never sent to our server or to anyone else.

Why we do not ask for consent

Everything above is exempt from the consent required by Directive 2002/58/EC (Article 5(3)) and the national laws implementing it (in Spain, Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE): these are technical elements needed to provide a service you request or to remember a preference you choose. If we ever add cookies that are not necessary, such as analytics or advertising, we will ask for your permission before using them, and you will be able to refuse them as easily as you accept them.

Third-party resources

To display fonts and icons, the site loads files from Google Fonts (Google LLC). This service sets no cookies through our site but, like any server that delivers a file, it receives your IP address in order to send it. Links to Discord and to the sign-up and login pages lead to separate services with their own cookie information.

How to delete or block cookies

You can view, delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser's privacy settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge…). If you block the session cookie, the forms cannot be sent; the rest of the site keeps working as normal. If you have any questions, write to us at info@sanctum.net.
